New Private Health Plans Must Offer Preventive Care

New U.S. regulations regarding private health plans will make covering of preventive services mandatory. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends coverage of services such as tobacco-cessation counseling, breast and colon cancer screenings, and screening for vitamin deficiencies during pregnancy.
